This project involved the reconstruction of the 110 kV “Palaj” Substation, which included the construction of a new 110/35 kV line. The reconstruction of this substation will ensure a sufficient electricity supply for the mines, for the water pumps of “Ferronikeli” in Bivolak as well as for the residents in the vicinity of the substation. Previously this substation relied on a single 110 kV transmission line and thus was not in accordance with the N-1 criteria. After this investment, the above mentioned beneficiaries will have a backup option in case of an electricity breakdown.

This project included the construction of the new 110/10(20) kV “Prishtina 7” Substation with an installed power of 2 x 40 MVA. The commissioning of this substation has directly benefited consumers in several neighborhoods of Prishtina, namely in “Veternik”, “Lagja e Spitalit”, “Mati 1”, “Hajvalia”, and “Cagllavica”. It has also benefited the “Kisnica Mine” and the “Regional Water Company Pristina”. In connection to this project, a special connection has been implemented for the University Clinical Center “QKUK”, thus increasing its security of electrical supply. Finally this project has unloaded TS 110/10 kV “Prishtina 2”, TS 35/10 kV “Prishtina 2”, “Prishtina 3”, and “Badovc”

This project involved the installation of TR3 transformer in SS 110/10 (20) kV “Prishtina 2”.

This project involved the installation of measuring groups in the new border between KOSTT/KEK/OSSH. It specifically included the installation of two-core metering transformers for commercial metering, with the same characteristics in 400, 220 and 110 kV interconnection lines. It also involved the replacement of existing meters with more advanced meters compliant to the metering code. With the implementation of this project, the measuring points have been modernized, ensuring accuracy of commercial measurements and reliability of the measurement system.

This project involved the installation of GIS type substations in several substations. We functioned as a subcontractor to the Consortium of ABB S.p.A.(Italy) and ABB d.o.o. (Croatia). Recently we commissioned the Fushe Kosova substation, which marked the completion of this project. This project involved a GIS type substation 110/35/10(20)kV 2x40 MVA with two 110kV transformer fields and 35kV, 10 (20) kV, with two 110 kV line fields, with a 110 kV connection field. These projects were implemented to increase security of supply, reduce losses in the distribution network, and to ensure optimum distribution of power flows in the 110 kV lines and transformers.
